Social Program

    The last day of the conference is planned for social program. The Local Committee has prepared two alternative travel routes for all participants. A brief introduction is presented here. Choosing either of the two routes is Ok.

Route 1

Visit Sanxingdui Museum and Giant Pandas breeding base

       Sanxingdui Museum

      The site of Sanxingdui, located at Guanghan 40km from Chengdu, is recognized as the most important ancient remains of the Sichuan region for its vast size, long lasting period and enriched cultural contents. The most amazing thing about it is that it not only reflects ancient civilization of China but in some extent , seems has some profound connection with the South American Ancient Mayan Culture. A few of the famous cultural relics are listed here below:

          Giant Pandas breeding base

Giant pandas, the most precious animals in the world, live in China. Also more than 80% of giant pandas left in the world are living in and around Sichuan. By care and support panda protecting and conservation, an modern Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding has been set aside in Chengdu,38km, with the largest scale and most modern facilities. Loving nature and protecting our environment are the common responsibility borne upon on the mankind. Let`s come to the home of pandas so as to know more about them and do more to protect the nature.
Route2

       Visit Leshan Buddhism, the biggest one of the world, and San-Su family shrine.

   Leshan Buddhism status
      The biggest Buddhism statue of the world, carved from a whole giant mountain rock. It was built during Tang Dynasty, facing the converging port of three rivers, Min, Qingyi and Dadu. Ancient Chinese people believed that the Buddha could bring peace and protect them against flood.

    San -Su family shrine
      Located in Meishan city,about 70km to Chengdu. In memory of three famous Chinese poets Su Xun, , Su Shi, Su Zhe, who were family members, father (Su Xun) and two sons, living in Song Dynasty, about 1000 years ago.
